Intense persistent bouquet of black cherry with hints of rose, leather, coffee beans and tar. Full-bodied, yet well-balanced and smooth.

Located in Vigna del Mandorlo in Scarrone (Castiglione Falletto), one of the most prestigious crus in Barolo. South orient vineyards with spurred cordon cultivation.

Organically produced.

  • Soil: Clay-calcareous soil, rich in micro elements of marine origin, alternated with layers of sandstone.
  • Fermentation: Grapes are hand harvested. Non-invasive winemaking and lengthy maceration.
  • Aging: 3 years in 30 hectoliter casks followed by 2 years in bottle. Well suited for long aging when stored correctly.
